If you want to roast almonds, you have two options: the pan or the oven. Read below how to prepare quickly roasted almonds and what advantages roasting in the oven can bring.
Roasted almonds: Two options for do-it-yourselfers
Roasted almonds are of course also available packed – but you will get a much more intense taste experience if you roast them yourself. You can prepare this delicious snack in a pan or in the oven. In the oven roasted almonds usually work better, and you don’t have to move the pan all the time and can do other things in the kitchen at the same time.
Roasting almonds in the oven: How it works
First you have to preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius with circulating air. Spread the stone fruits evenly on the baking tray and roast them well for about ten minutes. Look into the oven from time to time and stir the almonds if necessary.
Roasting almonds in the pan
When preparing in the coated pan, you should also first preheat a little at medium temperature. For roasted almonds you do not need oil in the pan. Pour the stone fruits directly into it and roast them for about three minutes. Always stay on the stove and stir the almonds constantly. Make sure to roast the almonds evenly and remove them from the pan before turning brown. For even more flavour, you can add some honey to the almonds while you are preparing them or, if you prefer it more hearty, drizzle an aromatic edible oil onto the stone fruits after roasting.
